Mouthwash and dental floss to get to the hard to reach places

Effective and regular brushing is necessary to keep your mouth healthy, but it isn't enough. In effect, it isn't possible to remove all food debris and dental plaque effectively with a toothbrush. They can become lodged in hard to reach places. Therefore, for better oral hygiene, it is recommended that you also add dental floss and mouthwash to your daily routine.

GETTING TO HARD TO REACH PLACES

Used daily, as well as brushing, dental floss eliminates plaque between teeth, getting to the places that a toothbrush can’t always reach. Additionally using mouthwash on a daily basis reaches places even dental floss can’t reach:

  • Parts of the gum line;

  • Between teeth that overlap, for example, or which are extremely close.

  • The bottom of the mouth, around molars.

DAILY MOUTHWASHES: MULTI-ACTION

The ingredients of daily mouthwashes contribute to better oral hygiene by fighting against the proliferation of bacteria. Daily mouthwashes also complement the act of brushing by getting to those places that cannot be reached with a toothbrush.

LISTERINE® daily mouthwashes contain ingredients that:

TREATMENT MOUTHWASH AND DAILY MOUTHWASH: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

There are mouthwashes for daily use and mouthwashes for curative treatment of specific diseases.

Treatment mouthwashes are generally recommended for shorter term use e.g. about one month.

On the other hand, daily mouthwashes are designed to be used every day in addition to brushing.  Listerine has been proven not to alter the equilibrium of the oral flora.
